Welcome to the Family Development and Children's Research Centre's website, and thank you for your interest in our Centre.

We continue to strive to make a positive difference in the field of Early Childhood Care and Development across rural and urban communities around the world. Our child-centred philosophy, attention to expansion of access to all children in the region, high-quality early childhood training programmes and partnerships with our stakeholders set the Centre apart from other institutions.

As the Centre Supervisor it is my duty and responsibility to ensure that the Centre provides a respectful image of all children as competent, capable, and equipped with an enormous potential for development.

 

Our programme seamlessly melds elements of nature, literacy, children's recording, the creative arts arena, music and movement, drama, voices and visual arts. All our Staff members actively contribute to our innovations. This collaborative creativity enhances the Centre's  curriculum, strengthens the knowledge base of the  children, parents, Teacher Trainees and the general public.

 

We strongly believe in partnerships with parents and look forward to sharing ideas and resources for the evolution of Early Childhood Education in the region and beyond.
