The annual World of Work (WOW) programme organized by UWI Student Advisory Services has been helping students to plan their careers for more than a decade. This year, the event which took place at the Sports and Physical Education Centre on February 8th and 9th 2007 attracted more than 1,200 students and a myriad of companies visited the campus in the hope of snagging some of the campus’ rising stars.

This year, WOW consisted of five events instead of the usual four. In addition to the seminar, mock interviews, two-day recruitment fair, a professional etiquette workshop was added to the programme.

For many students, the highlight of the programme was the recruitment fair. And, as you can see from the pictures, many of the nation’s top companies came head hunting on campus, proving that UWI graduates are very much hot commodities.
