SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS APPROACH TO POVERTY ERADICATION IN THE CARIBBEAN: RESULTS OF POLICY RESEARCH AND ACTION - Monday 24th – Tuesday 25th October, 2005 - click for details

Objectives:

1. To share findings of and obtain feedback on 3-year SEDU study for the UK Department for International Development (DFID) on the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach to Poverty Eradication in the Caribbean – with case studies of St. Lucia, Belize and application to Grenada;

2. To share results of similar policy studies and actual experiences of implementing community-focused sustainable-livelihood policies in the Caribbean; and

3. To discuss the formation of regional networks on sustainable livelihoods and community-based Sustainable Tourism.

Venue: Faculty of Engineering Lecture Theatre 101

Registration cost: Students - Free; Non-students - $50 to defer the cost of documentation, materials and refreshments
