Postgraduate Admissions

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the general University Regulations governing admission to a Higher Degree and must possess a good Honours Degree in the relevant subject area. MPhil candidates are normally required to have at least an Upper Second Class Honours Degree.

Graduates of Universities other than UWI, should request a copy of their Official Transcript to be forwarded directly to the School for Graduate Studies and Research, Postgraduate Section, UWI, St. Augustine as soon as possible.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Please note that The University of the West Indies will be accepting ON-LINE  APPLICATIONS only.  You will therefore be required to review this website where information on all programmes to be offered for the upcoming year and instructions on “How to Apply” are available.

Applicants are reminded that references must accompany all applications in sealed envelopes. Applications will not be considered without the relevant documents itemized in our instructions.

You may visit our website at http://www.uwi.edu/students/programmes.aspx which gives a list of all programmes offered at our three (3) campuses.  Applications for entry to programmes at the Cave Hill or Mona campus must be made directly to the relevant campus.

APPLICATION FEES

Applicants using the on-line application are exempt from paying an application fee.
