(III) Method of
Assessment
Courses shall be evaluated on the basis
of written examinations and course work
A minimum grade of B must be attained in both
components in order to pass a course.
The Research Project shall have a minimum length
of 12,000 words, exclusive of footnotes and
appendices.
The Supervisor shall determine the procedures to
be followed for preparation of the research project,
and for oral presentations.
The Research Project must be written in accordance
with the Universitys Regulations.
(IV) Selection of Topics for
Research Projects
Topics must be related to the subject
areas of the courses offered in Section II above and
approved by the Director of the Institute.
Topics for research projects must be submitted to
the Institutes M.Sc. Programme Co-ordinator not later
than the end of the third week of the first
Semester.
Upon approval of topics candidates shall be
assigned supervisors.
(V) Pass Mark
The Pass Mark for all subjects in the Masters
programme is a minimum of 50%
