UWI/Guardian Life ‘Premium’ Events

One of the IDU’s groundbreaking initiatives has been the establishment of a strategic alliance with Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited to honour teaching excellence at the St. Augustine Campus. The UWI/Guardian Life ‘Premium’ Teaching Award is a collaborative effort that commenced in 2000 and it is celebrated every other year.

Alternating with the ‘Premium’ Teaching Awards is the ‘Premium’ Open Lecture Series on learning and teaching in higher education. At these lectures, the IDU seeks to have as the feature speakers internationally renowned educators.
