portfolio is prepared in free form and should be in
two sections:
- a brief of 3-4 pages which outlines
the candidate’s
personal approach to/philosophy of teaching,
reflects on areas of teaching and makes the case
for excellence;
and
- 5-6 pages of supporting documents and
appendices which support the case made in the
brief. It
is not an exhaustive compendium of documents.
Rather, it
should contain selective documents that display
a lecturer’s
teaching activities and performance.
All materials should be enclosed in a sturdy folder
or binder and labeled "Application for UWI/Guardian Life Teaching Excellence Award" and the year.
