The IDU is a member of international higher
education organizations whose visions and missions coincide
with that of the Unit. The primary purpose of membership
in these associations is to keep abreast of worldwide trends
in higher education through attendance at the conferences
that they conduct and by way of the newsletters, journals
and other media that they use to provide their membership
with cutting-edge information, methodologies and technologies.
It is to be noted that these organizations have their
origins in North America, the United Kingdom and Australasia.
