This programme is structured on the assumption
that to understand the Caribbean an integrated
approach is necessary and must accordingly involve
the various disciplines in the Arts and Social
Sciences. The Diploma therefore will consist
of a broad range of subjects taken over an intensive
four-month period.
Lectures/seminars and tutorials will normally
be conducted in English.

Two Summer semesters
Target Audience
Former graduates of The University
of the West Indies whose first degree did
not include the Social Sciences or who want
to upgrade their skills.
Persons outside the Caribbean whose ambition
it is to acquire some specialist knowledge
of the Caribbean.
Qualifications
for Admission
A first degree in any field or equivalent
qualification.
Award of Diploma
The Diploma will normally be conferred only
after successful completion of all required
courses.
