Certificate In Public Administration

The Certificate in Public Administration (CPA) is designed to equip persons with a full understanding of the workings of public administration and its attendant issues such as Organisational Theory and Behaviour, Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations.


Programme Specifications

Duration

Approximately two academic years (over three Summer Semesters).

Target Audience

Entry Requirements

To be admitted to the CPA, candidates must satisfy lower level matriculation, that is, 5 O’Levels inclusive of English Language.  In addition, applicants must possess at least 3 years practical experience of civil service work or other relevant experience.

The Faculty may use its discretion in accepting candidates who do not satisfy the requirements mentioned above but who are deemed capable of doing the standard of work required for the Certificate.

Award Of Certificate

The CPA will be awarded to candidates who have completed 30 credits (equivalent to 10 semester courses) and have satisfied the examiners for the Certificate.
